Art exhibit
The exhibit appears to be making a statement.
It is history that pederasty has troubled the service of Christianity in recent times.
It is also history that Jesus Christ gave the example of perfect love and chaste behaviour towards little children.
Further, it is mystic fact that each Host consecrated at Mass is the transubstantiated Form of Christ Himself.
Disrespect towards the Host is a symbol of disrespect towards the Saviour Jesus Christ Himself.
Parable of the Landlord father
In the same wise, it can be postulated that there once was a father who owned a huge estate.
He had two sons, many servants and laborers in the fields.
The father was a good and holy man, exhorting all to behave in righteous ways.
He himself was known to be kind, generous and blameless in all his dealings.
His elder son was a good man, and followed the teachings of his father.
The younger son was a profligate, who wasted his money and life on dubious dealings.
The servants were of two camps; those who belonged to the first camp were honest, hardworking and never stole or lied.
Those who belonged in the second camp behaved licentiously, stole, beat wayfarers and gave the landlord father's estate a bad name.
The father suffered because of the wrongdoing, and both spoke and acted in an attempt to lead his son and the second camp servants into a better way of life.
Some time later, a group of people came to the estate.
They were angry and wished to seek justice for the wrongs committed by those who did not fully follow the landlord father's teachings.
Instead of singling out those responsible for the wrongdoings, they targeted the father.
Driving him out of the estate, they beat him, tore his clothes from his back, and abused him.
Thereafter they placed him in stocks for all to come and see and mock.
There was a little girl in the audience who stood before the man who had been so wrongly shamed.
All the villagers stood before the stocks, afraid of those who had come to seek justice.
The little girl, however, was too young to know fear.
'Why are they hurting that good man, daddy?' she asked in a clear treble voice which all in the crowd could hear.
'He is the one who saved our family by helping us with food and money when you were so sick and could not work.
He tried to stop his naughty son and those disobedient servants from doing wrong.
Yet now he is being hurt for their wrongdoings.
Daddy, it isn't right! It isn't right at all!'
Then the little girl broke forth from the crowd before her father could stop her and ran to the stocks.
She used her shawl to wipe the blood from the face of the good landlord father.
Then she gently kissed the landlord father's cheek where he had been bruised and beaten.
The crowd fell silent.
They now realised; why disrespect and abuse the good father for the wrongdoing - which he so desperately tried to avert - of various of his followers? . . .
