Dutch Bishops' Aid Group Funding Planned Parenthood, Marie Stopes; Alleged News

Christ Crucified

OF ONGOING CONCERN TO PRIESTS AND PASTORS ARE THE PASTORAL NEEDS OF GRIEVING POST-ABORTION WOMEN AND MEN, AND REMORSEFUL ABORTION PRACTIONERS.
The emotional suffering of those who have been affected by abortion requires much pastoral care from those committed to tending the Pastures of the Lord.
The Catholic Church has a luminous history of moral strength in affirming the sanctity of life.
  The guidelines of the Church are clear;
'Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception; abortion and infanticide are the most abominable of crimes.'
Second Vatican Council, Encyclical Gaudium et spes

Human Life is sacred - Humanae Vitae, 1968

'The unborn human being's right to live is one of the inalienable human rights.'
Pope John Paul II, 1985

'Abortion is a serious sin. Everyone ...should have a proper respect for human life.'
Declaration on Procured Abortion, 1974

'From the time that the ovum is fertilised a new life is begun which is neither that of the father or the mother. It is the life of a new human being with its own growth. It would never become human if it were not human already.'
Declaration on Procured Abortion, 1974  [1]

Cordaid
According to report by LifeSiteNews.com, Cordaid, the Dutch arm of the Vatican's charitable umbrella Caritas Internationalis, has given money to leading abortion providers Planned Parenthood and Marie Stopes International; Alleged News [2]

Prayer
'Almighty God, Ruler of All,
Grant us your grace at this time.
As Priests and Pastors strengthen us to stand firm as witnesses to your Supremacy over life on earth.
To You alone belongs the Majesty of granting life and soul at the moment of conception.
To You alone belongs the task of calling us home at the time allotted according to Your Divine Plan.
Your Son continues to be crucified in vulnerable innocents aborted in utero.
Support us as your shepherds to continue to strengthen your flock to understand the holiness of unborn life;
to affirm them in protection of the unborn child;
and to stand strong by the Church's teachings that UNBORN LIFE IS SACRED.
Amen.'

You promised us your peace. At this time of anxiety I come to You asking for Your Peace.
I need to quieten down, to relax more and really believe in Your Promise of Peace.
Help me to slow down and empty my mind of all unnecessary anxiety.
I know that if I am at peace in myself my child will sense it and it will help us both.
We both need Your Healing Lord,

Who are the Poor?

Who are the Poor?

Poor; adjective. 'lacking sufficient money to live at a standard considered comfortable or normal in society.
Needy. Needful. Underprivileged. Deprived.
Deficient or lacking in something specified.'
- The baby in utero fulfils the qualification of poverty of being needy [of the right to life, of protection in utero, of respect for his or her or hermaphrodite personhood, of nourishment and shelter within utero]
- The baby in utero fulfils the qualification of poverty in being underprivileged [unable to independently carry out all the functions of daily living within society at this vulnerable stage of life]
- The baby in utero fulfils the qualification of being deficient or lacking in something specified, [in that the baby is deficient of full independence, and dependent upon the permission of another [the mother] to continue providing the shelter and nourishment he/she/hermaphrodite requires in order to complete development.]
- The baby in utero further fulfils the qualification of being deficient or lacking in something specified, in that eviction from his/her/hermaphrodite uterus dwelling is carried out [when done deliberately] through execution, and will lead to personal certain death. The baby in utero is deficient of the ability to sustain personal life without a gestational period of assistance.

Whatsoever is done to the poor of the land, is done unto God Himself. This we have been told by the Son of God.
'The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren, that you do unto me.' [Matthew 25:40]

Let us therefore afford to each citizen; shelter, nourishment, respect, protection, the right to life.
Citizenship starts at conception; where there is growth, there is life.
It is essential that all who follow in the Footsteps of the Saviour through church structure do so in a spirit of absolute dedication for the poorest of the poor.
Which, in this case, includes of its very nature the poor within the womb.

Do Women have a quantifiable right to expect respect? Women of Dignity

DIGNITY IS A TERM USED IN MORAL, ETHICAL AND LIFE DISCUSSIONS TO SIGNIFY THAT A BEING HAS AN INNATE RIGHT TO RESPECT AND ETHICAL TREATMENT. The English word 'dignity' comes from the Latin dignitas by way of French dignité.
In ordinary usage it denotes respect and status, and is often used to suggest that someone is not receiving a proper degree of respect. 1
Priests and Pastors are daily made aware of the plight girls and women face in their pursuit of dignity and respect in their daily lives.
The question in the moral sphere is thus; do women of their nature deserve respect? And if so, why?

Imago Dei
Both man and woman are made in the Image and Likeness of Almighty God. [Genesis 1;27]
As beings with the Imago Dei imprinted upon their souls, it follows through reason that the Imago Dei within both woman and man should be respected.
Thus, from the very beginning of the Holy Torah it has been made clear that both man and woman - created in the Image of God - are not only deserving of, but are to be accorded, deepest respect for their dignity granted through the Will and Plan of the Divine.

Women On Earth
A human woman was chosen by the Design of God to bear His Divinity within her frame,  making her the earthly Ark of the Covenant.
The Book of Exodus tells us that the Holy Spirit of God overshadowed and then indwelled the Ark. The Ark thus became the symbolic dwelling place of the Presence of God upon earth. [Ex 40;34-35]
Mary of Nazareth, a member of the race of women on earth, was chosen for the sublime honour to be the New Ark of the Covenant. Her womb was chosen as the New Ark.
The Holy Spirit of God overshadowed and indwelled Mary. At that time Mary's womb became the dwelling place of the Full Presence of God [Luke 1;35].

Social Justice
Social Justice is 'justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities and privileges within a society.'
Justice ensures that individuals both fulfil their societal roles and receive what is due from society. 2

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights affirms that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
They should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights affirms that no one shall be subjected to degrading treatment.

Vatican Councill II; Gaudium et Spes
The Vatican Council II Document Gaudium et Spes offers sound theological and moral guidance in matters that affect society.
Chapter II speaks of the Community of Humanity.
Gaudium et Spes Chapter II, 23 affirms that brotherly dialogue amongst humanity reaches perfection on the deeper level of interpersonal relationships.
These demand a mutual respect for the full spiritual dignity of the person.

Gaudium et Spes Chapter II, 24, tells us that God, Who has Fatherly Concern for everyone, has willed that all should constitute one family and treat one another in the spirit of brotherhood.
Love for God and neighbor is the first and greatest commandment.
Sacred Scripture teaches us that the love of God cannot be separated from love of neighbor:
"If there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'.... Love therefore is the fulfillment of the Law" (Rom. 13:9-10; cf. 1 John 4:20).  3

Why should Respect be shown for Women?
Why should respect  be shown for women?
It is women who, through the personal suffering of childbirth, give birth to sons and daughters.
It is women who face the reality that they may not survive childbirth.
It is women who nourish their children.
It is women who put aside their own needs in order to nurture their children through to responsible adulthood.
It is women who stand by their children through their offspring's darkest hours.
Men also nourish and support their children; yet the contribution of women to the world cannot be overlooked.

God Himself has attested to the dignity of women in Genesis 1;27.
Women form part of the same human race from whose ranks the luminous New Ark of the Covenant, Mary of Nazareth, was chosen [Luke 1;35].
Social justice demands that women receive what is due from society.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights affirms that women are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
The Universal Declaration further affirms that no one shall be subjected to degrading treatment.

Document Gaudium et Spes of the Church affirm that mutual respect for the full spiritual dignity of each person is demanded.
The Document further affirms that all should be treated in the spirit of brotherhood.
Love for one another as commanded by Jesus Christ is to be shown by all.

Teaching of St Issa
  The Manuscript at Ladakh Monastery tells of the following words having been spoken by St Issa;
'Respect woman, for in her we see the mother of the universe, and all the truth of divine creation is to come through her...
In pain and suffering she brings you forth; in the sweat of her brow she watches over your growth, and until your death you cause her greatest anxieties...
Respect her, defend her... In so doing, you will gain for yourself her love, you will find favour before God, and for her sake many sins will be remitted to you...
Suffer her not to be humiliated, for by humiliating her you humiliate yourselves, and lose the sentiment of love, without which nothing can exist here on earth.' 4

Guidance
Respect for women is thus the guidance of the Torah, the New Testament, social justice, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the teachings of the Church.
The teachings of the Great St Issa affirmed the dignity of woman and her right to support and respect.
Women are thus not only worthy of - but fully entitled to - full respect.

Respect and Holiness in Speech
Let us teach our sons and daughters to respect each other in thought, word and actions.
Respect and holiness in speech is the great ideal.

Brain Maturity extends well beyond 21 - the Moral Implications of Placing Undue Responsibility at Too Young an Age

IN MANY AREAS PASTORS AND PRIESTS ARE BEING CONSULTED FOR GUIDANCE RE THE MOST RELEVANT AGE TO GIVE OFFICES OF HEAVY RESPONSIBILITY TO THOSE WHO HAVE RECENTLY AQUIRED THE AGE OF MAJORITY.
The Age of Majority, previously considered to be 21 years, has in some cases apparently been lowered to the age of 18.
The age of majority is the threshold of adulthood as it is conceptualized [and recognized or declared] in law.
It is the chronological moment when minors cease to legally be considered as children and assume control over their persons, actions and decisions, thereby terminating the legal control and legal responsibilities of their parents or guardians over and for them.

Heavy Responsibilities
The age at which heavy managerial responsibilities is being given - according to word on the street - appears to be in the process of being lowered.
What are the moral implications of giving heavy responsibilities to those just graduating from the latter end of childhood?
Placing undue responsibility at too young an age can open the gate to ensuing problematical situations due to a number of factors.

Brain Development has not completed by Age 21
Neuroscience is giving increasing evidence that Brain Development has not completed by age 21; according to studies, brain maturation only completes at age 25.
The changes that happen in the human between ages 18 to 25 are a continuation of the process that starts around puberty; 18 year olds are about halfway through the process, their prefrontal cortex not yet being fully developed.
The prefrontal cortex is the part of the brain that helps you to inhibit impulses and plan or organize your behaviour in order to reach a goal. 1
The 21 year old is thus still undergoing the brain maturation process.

According to Dr Sandra Aamodt, brain scans show clearly that the brain is not yet fully finished developing until about age 25.
Furthermore, the other part of the brain that is different in adolescence is that the brain's reward system becomes highly active around the age of puberty and then gradually goes back to an adult level, which it reaches about age 25.
That makes adolescents and young adults more interested in entering uncertain situations to seek out and try to find out whether there might be a possibility of gaining something from those situations.
Aamodt goes on to clarify that one of the side effects of the changes in the reward system is that adolescents and young adults become more sensitive to peer pressure than they were earlier or will be as adults.
For instance, a 20 year old is 50 percent more likely to do something risky if two friends are watching than if the 20 year old is alone. 2

Time for Growth
What impact does this have on the moral implications of placing undue responsibility at too young an age?
In a time where technology and swift response to fulfilment of consumer need is the norm, many blessings are received from these two factors.
What may also follow is demand on youth to be productive citizens in highly demanding occupations before their brains have completed the biological maturation process.

Young adults need time for growth; time for reflection; time for spiritual and emotional adaptation to the very great demands on their abilities to form an integral and responsible part of the society we form.
Priests and pastors need to be aware that young adults need support as they navigate the bewildering labyrinths of growth, entrance into employment, and development of the range of relationships that characterise society.
We need to be the rock to which they can turn, the integrity from which they can seek answers and guidance of truth and wisdom.
Priests and pastors can steadfastly support the fact that the implication of placing undue responsibility at too young an age
[id est prior to the full maturation of the brain during the late brain development process] is to encourage our youth to take on the full responsibilities of older adults at too young an age.
This may lead to undue stress being placed on the younger adult in order to fulfil the task given, and the consequences of key decisions being made without the full equipment of full brain maturation being at hand.

Vatican Endorsement of UN Development Goals Threatens Unborn Children, Alleged News

GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH HAS RECEIVED REPORT THAT TWO OF THE WORLD'S LEADING PRO-ABORTION ADVOCATES ADDRESSED A VATICAN WORKSHOP ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
Grave concern is felt at the presence of reported noted advocates of abortion Ban Ki Moon and Professor Jeffrey Sachs at the Vatican Workshop 'Protect the Earth, Dignify Humanity, the Moral Dimensions of Climate Change and Sustainable Development' held by the Pontifical Academy for Sciences [PAS], Sustainable Development Solutions Network [SDSN] and Religions for Peace on April 28th 2015 in anticipation of the new Papal Encyclical on the Environment. [1]

Reported Statement
A reported statement allegedly signed by the heads of both the Pontifical Academy of Science and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences has endorsed the United Nation's proposed creation of Sustainable Development Goals [SDG's]. [2]

Right to Life
In his 2011 book Sobre el cielo y la tierra [On heaven and earth] ,
His Holiness Pope Francis reportedly wrote;
"The right to life is the first among human rights. To abort a child is to kill someone who cannot defend himself." [3]

Face of Our Lord
On September 20th 2013, His Holiness strongly affirmed sacredness of unborn life, explaining 'Every unborn child, though unjustly condemned to be aborted, has the face of the Lord, Who even before His Birth, and then as soon as He was born, experienced the rejection of the world.' [4]

Tears of heartbreak; children from same sex marriages speak out

DIGNITY, RESPECT AND INCLUSION IN SOCIETY IS THE DEMOCRATIC RIGHT OF EVERY HUMAN BEING ON OUR PLANET.
Every person has been created in the Image and Likeness of Almighty God, as attested to in the Book of Genesis.
Thus every person who considers him or herself to be heterosexual or homosexual in nature has been created in the Imago Dei.

Heartache
Pastors and Priests minister to heterosexual and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender [LGBT] members of their congregations.
A burning issue of heartache over past years has centered around same sex partnerships.
It is essential for Pastors and Priests to be totally supportive of, and helpful with, the real issues - emotional, spiritual, social and financial - of both homosexual and heterosexual members of their congregations.

Pastoral reality of Same Sex Marriages
In recent years, many same sex marriages have occurred.
Pastors are now dealing with the reality of breakdown of marriages in homosexual unions at a worrying rate.
Many complicated issues are arising from the reality of same-sex marriage breakdown and divorce proceedings.
Homosexual marriages are reportedly at the start of a divorce boom [1].
This is a cause of deep concern to Pastors and Priests.
Every divorce from a marriage has long lasting repercussions for the children of the divorce.
Lesley Foulkes-Jamison, Ph.D., has written of the Effects of Divorce on Children, citing fear, reduction of contact with one parent, schoolwork suffering or school avoidance, decreased standard of living, possible display of acting-out behaviours, distress during visit exchanges, intense grief, anger. [2]
A further, and deepening concern, are issues arising from same sex marriages.
Children of same sex marriages have been reaching out for assistance as they struggle with issues.
These are the tears of heartbreak, with children speaking out.

Tolerance
Pastors and Priests are aware of a call at times from LGBT members of community for tolerance from heterosexual members.
Pastors and Priests are aware that tolerance from LGBT members of community for heterosexual members is likewise of value.
We are all moving along the same road of humanity towards our eternal destination; love, acceptance and support of each member of the road of life is not only important. but essential.
'Love one another as I have loved you,' is the express command of Jesus Christ, the Lord of all.

Breaking the Silence
Now that the children of same sex marriages are breaking their silence, coming out of their closet, their story needs to be listened to.
Children are not a convenience. They are a creation of love between two people, with a soul gifted by God during the act of love and intimacy between a couple.
In recent times, there have been numerous departures from the original act of conception as instituted by God.
The results are being dealt with by Pastors and Priests as children mourn their embryo siblings who died during their personal implantation. [3]
Countless children are lost to the world due to their loss during in vitro fertilisation. [4]
The use of surrogacy has led to desperately tragic situations, such as a couple who reportedly asked the surrogate to abort after learning the unborn baby had Down Syndrome. [5]

A new pastoral reality is emerging, with children - now adults- of same sex marriages taking to the media to speak of the reality of their experience.
One example is the letter online of Heather Barwick.
Heather speaks of the fact that she is hurting; her father's absence created a 'huge hole' in her, and she 'ached every day for a dad.' [6]
Heather apprises that she is not gay, but the relationship that was modelled before her was a woman loving a woman.
Now she struggles as an adult figuring out how to be in a relationship with her husband. [7]

Dignity, humanity and equality
Six children [now adults] raised by same-sex partners have written a letter supporting the luminous fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in their support of traditional marriage and families.
These children have expressed thanks to the designers for speaking up for the rights of children to both mother and a father. 'Every human being has a mother and a father, and to cut either from a child's life is to rob the child of dignity, humanity and equality', their letter reads. [8]

Strong Pastoral Concern
This is the reality of adult children of same sex marriages; their words and personal testimony cannot be overlooked.
Their rights are as important as every member of the human community.
Clear statements about their experience has been made; many children from the context of same sex marriage are hurting.
This reality is a strong pastoral concern to Pastors and Priests.

Humanae Vitae
Pope Paul VI emphasized that marriage is far from being the effect of chance or the result of blind evolution of forces.
It is in reality the wise and provident institution of God the Creator, Whose purpose was to effect in humanity His loving design.
As a consequence, through the mutual gift of themselves, which is specific and exclusive to them alone, that union of two persons develops in which they perfect one another, cooperating with God in the generation and rearing of new lives. [9]

Marriage thus is an institution of love and sacramental grace between two, who may then generate new individuals from within their union and undertake the upbringing of their children together.

In essence
In essence, the reality of marriage is that, as time wears on, the primary focus does not remain with the two individuals who pledge loyalty for life to each other.
The primary focus is ensuring the long term wellbeing of the children resultant to that marriage.
Let this reality guide us in any decisions to be made.
