The Gathering of God's People
 Priest; The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
People; And also with you.

Priest;
Almighty God, to Whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from Whom no secrets are hidden; Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of Your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify Your Holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord God, You raise Your Son
from the dead.

Priest; Lord Jesus, we are given the
promise of eternal life.

Priest; [Prayer]
Almighty and Everlasting God, by Whose Holy Spirit the Whole Body of the Church is ruled and made holy;
Hear our prayer which we offer for all.
We pray that all people may serve You in holiness and truth to the Glory of Your Name;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

People; Amen.
Priest; The Reading is from the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 10
People; Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Reader; 'Jesus sends out the Twelve;

10 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out unclean spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[a] drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
“Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts 10 no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. 11 Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. 12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. 18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

This is the Word of the Lord.'
People; Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ
Words of Comfort;
'Jesus called the Twelve disciples and sent them out on mission to bring comfort and healing to all, and to drive out the presence of the evil one from our midst.
  Today the Son of God is still fully active in our world, and hard at work growing the Kingdom of God among us.
We see sorrow and persecution, difficulties and disasters.
 Let us be full of confidence whatever happens; God will eventually triumph over all.


The Disciples of Christ were given the ability to bring ease into others' lives.


  Just so are we given the mission to bring the message of peace and harmony to all, especially to those in fear and anxiety.

Disciples are called upon to have wisdom.
  We need to weigh everything we are told and to make responsible decisions.
We need to be as wise as a snake, which carefully tests the road it must take.
  Snakes flicker out their forked tongues regularly to sample the chemical environment.
This chemical sampling enables the snake to make informed decisions with heightened sensibilities to recognize kin, locate shelters, avoid predators and follow trails.
  Thus too, we need to test our environment, being wise before taking any actions.
It is important to know all the true facts before taking a decisive action.


We need to be as innocent as doves. Doves are largely seedeaters, and peaceable creatures.
  They were also vulnerable to slaughter, as the sacrifices of the poor in Old Testament times bear witness to. Their very innocence and lack of warlike tendencies make them vulnerable to others.
    Doves are so loved by God that He symbolised His Power as a Dove at the Baptism of Jesus.
Like doves, we are to be peaceable with no thoughts of hurt for others in our minds.

This is quite a combination; great shrewdness married to a peaceable mind and heart.
  The message of Jesus Christ to the world can lead us into persecution, as we pay the price of full witness.
  Let us pray to God to give us the strength to meet our daily challenges of witness, love and peaceful living in an ever-changing world.
  Amen.'
Prayer
Priest; The Lord is here
People; His Spirit is with us
Priest; Lift up your hearts
People; We lift them up to the Lord.
Priest; Let us give thanks to the Lord our God
People; It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Priest; Father, Lord of all creation,
we praise You for Your Goodness and Your Love.
When we turned away You did not reject us.
Instead, You came to meet us in Your Beloved Son.
You have welcomed us as Your children, and
prepared a table where we might feast with you.
In Jesus Christ You shared our life so that
we might live in Him and He is us.
Amen.
The Breaking of Bread
'As they were eating, Jesus took bread [here the priest takes the bread] 'And blessed and broke it'  [the priest breaks the bread] 'And He gave it to His disciples and said, 'Take this, all of you, and eat; This is My Body.'
People; Lord Jesus, we bless You:
You are the Bread of Life.

The Blessing of the Wine
'At the end of supper, Jesus took the cup of wine [here the priest takes up the cup] 'Gave thanks, and said; Drink this, all of you: This is my Blood of the New Covenant, Which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins: do this in remembrance of Me.'
People; Lord Jesus, we bless You:
You are the true vine.
Priest; Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
People; Dying, you destroyed our death,
rising, You restored our life:
Lord Jesus, come in glory.
All now recite The Lord's Prayer [ translated from the original Aramaic];
'Our Father, Who is in Heaven,
sanctified be Your Name.
May Your Kingdom come,
may Your Will be done,
just as It is in Heaven, so also upon the earth.
Our bread which is from the earth,
give us day by day.
Forgive us our sins,
just as we should forgive our debtors,
and do not bring us to trial
rather deliver us from the evil one.'
All take part of the Eucharist. This is the Table of the Lord, so all of good heart are welcome.
After Communion, rest in peace and prayer for a while.
Let the Lord give you His message, peace and forgiveness for today.
Pray for all needs.
Today let us pray for all who read these words; that God will grant them all they need in their lives.
Let us pray for the universal church.
Let us pray for all who live in fear of their life.
Let us pray for all who have died, and for all the dying.
Let us pray for those caught in the poverty trap, and for the trafficked.
Let us pray for the tortured, and for all those who carry out evil deeds.
May God send waves of blessing and mindfulness across our world, touching the hearts of those who do wrong and inspiring them to the road of goodness and mercy.

Prayer for Peace
Priest; Christ is our peace.
He has renewed our relationship with God by His action of the Cross.
We meet in fellowship in His Holy Name, and go out from this holy place of Eucharistic worship to share His Peace with all.
The peace of the Lord be with you.
Go now to love and serve God in the world.
People; Amen.
