"Dear brothers and sisters!
When we talk about Jesus of Nazareth and vividly imagine His words and deeds, we are quite certain that He was a real human being, the Child of a human mother, and thus ultimately a Brother to all of us who live almost 2000 years after Him.
But that is only one dimension of His Person. A second, even more important dimension is repeatedly addressed by Jesus Himself in the Gospels: His existence as a Person does not begin with His human birth, but lasts from eternity, because He is "from God" and shares in God's Essence". [1]
