PRAYER CHAPEL FOR GOOD FRIDAY; PRAYING THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS

TODAY IS GOOD FRIDAY
This is the day that the Church remembers the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. GOD mandated Jesus to undergo this spiritual warrior suffering and loss for a specific purpose.
By doing so, Jesus paid the sin-price for our ancestral Fall from grace and relationship with GOD.
By means of this reconciliation, He opened the Gates of Heaven for us to enter after we have completed our earthly cycle.
We pray, fast and remember the sufferings of Christ on Good Friday, but not without hope.
We know, as we keep vigil with Jesus through this annual time of remembrance, that there is a glorious outcome to all this dreadful suffering.
Resurrection - full return to vibrant life for eternity - will occur on Easter Sunday when Christ rose from the dead.

How to honour the sufferings of Jesus
We honour Our Lord's sufferings today by fasting [this can mean many things].
Some people do without food. Some eat one meal a day, foregoing meat. Some who are nursing the sick, those carrying out essential services, eat sufficient food to give them energy for their work. They need sufficient sustenance for their dedicated work.
Diabetics need sufficient food, and so do the very young, sick and very old. Common sense is needed in the area of fasting.
That said and done, it is a holy thing to forego some pleasure of the senses in solidarity with Christ's suffering and for our own self discipline.
This can easily be done by eating a simple meal instead of an elaborate one.
Or one main meal can be taken, with two small snacks instead of full meals.
Luxurious items of food or pleasure can be done without, as we pray quietly within in reparation to Jesus for the sufferings He continues to suffer today in His heavenly work on earth.
We do without alcohol on this day as well.

Pray the Stations of the Cross
Attend a Church Service today. If you are not able to do so, here is a Prayer Chapel to help you honour Jesus by remembering His Sufferings and Death. This we do by means of praying the Stations of the Cross.
