ONLINE PRAYER CHAPEL - HOLY MASS FOR AN END TO CORONAVIRUS

Jesus, the Light of the world

The world is labouring under the scourge of the coronavirus. We pray for those affected by coronavirus, for their carers, families and friends. We pray for those who have passed from this world to God. We pray for the priests who have died while ministering to those suffering from coronavirus. Almighty God, we beg that You hear our prayer and lift this cross from our world.

Follow this Holy Online Chapel Service for your special intentions.

Priest;
"The peace of the Lord be always with you, "
You;
"And also with you."

Entrance Hymn;
O Lord, hear my prayer

1. O Lord, hear my prayer,
O Lord, hear my prayer,
When I call, answer me;
O Lord, hear my prayer,
O Lord, hear my prayer,
Come and listen to me.

2. O Lord, hear my prayer,
O Lord, hear my prayer,
When I call, answer me;
O Lord, hear my prayer,
O Lord, hear my prayer,
Come and listen to me. (Repeat)

Prayer;
"Most merciful and Triune God,"
 We come to You with our fears and our needs. We come to You with trust, for You alone are our hope in this time of trouble.
"We place before You the disease present in our world, We turn to You in the time of our need. We pray that You heal our world of this virus. We pray that You be the strength for our healthcare professionals, our leaders, our priests and all in essential services. Bring healing to those who are ill, protect those who are most at risk, Give comfort to those who have lost a loved one. Welcome those who have died into Your eternal home. Stabilize our communities, Unite us in our compassion, Remove all fear from our hearts, Fill us with confidence in your care." [Here quietly lay your concerns and prayers before God now.].
I trust in You to help me with [ . . . here quietly pray about your intention. Do not commit your prayers and intentions to words or any form of communication. Your prayer is sacred between you and God alone.] "

After you have finished praying, spend time before God allowing Him to speak to you. Listen to the Voice of the Spirit as He guides you. Allow yourself to be strengthened. If tears come and wash away your loneliness or fears, don't be afraid of them. Tears are healing to the soul.
Place yourself before God to be guided. What does God place before You in guidance?

Having brought Jesus your time, faith and presence, rest assured that He will guide you. Ask Mary the Mother of God to take your cause in hand. She, the Mother of the Saviour, is always ready to extend maternal care and ask God for blessing. Don't be afraid to approach her in prayer.

The Ministry of the Word
Jeremiah Chapter 17, verse 14
"Heal me, O Lord,
and I will be healed;
save me, and I will be saved:
For You are my hope."

Words of Comfort
We are living through a bewildering time when, overnight it seems, everything has changed. We cannot move freely, and if we have to go out for essential needs, we do not know if we will return still in good health. Many are passing from this world due to coronavirus, families are being left bereft. Where is God in all this? The Almighty has us in His Hands. He is welcoming those of us who are making our way early into our heavenly home. Jobs are being affected, our mental health and equilibrium are being challenged. Yet, in this storm let us cling to God, our unshakeable Rock.
Many years ago a wise priest told me, "I do not know what your future holds; but I do know Who holds your future." At this difficult time, I pray for you all and pass on those beautiful words which gave me so much comfort. I know that God holds your future in His Hands. May He grant the protection, blessing and strength you need at this time."

Prayers of Intercession;
For Leaders and those in governance
Lord God, we prayer for those in leadership and governance, that they may receive the wisdom they need for good decisions, the strength to carry the weight of the responsibility they bear and the blessing of continued or returned health

For those suffering from Coronavirus
Healing God, we pray for healing for those who are suffering from Coronavirus. Be with them in their time of trial, and be with their carers, families and friends

For those who have died from Coronavirus
Lord God, we pray for all those who have come to your Eternal Home. We commend them to Your love, compassion and mercy as they come before Your beauteous Presence. May they rest in Your peace forever

For bereaved families, friends and communities
We pray for those who have suffered the tragic loss of a loved one. May they receive the care and comfort they need at this time

For healthcare workers
Lord God, we pray for all healthcare workers. Grant them strength and health at this time as they carry out the vocation to which You called them. Bless their families and friends

For the world
We pray for the world, that a full return to environmental health be effected. We pray that respect for the earth and the plant, sea, air and animal kingdoms prevail. It is notable that scourges which ravage our populations from time to time often have their source in humanity's treatment of the innocent animals of our creation. May only tenderness and compassion reign in our hearts towards these most innocent of creatures. Amen

The Eucharist
Priest;
"Let us renew our covenant with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as we break the Holy Bread in remembrance of His great Sacrifice for us on Calvary."

"Now, as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed and broke it. He gave it to His disciples, saying, 'Take this, all of you, and eat it; for this is My Body.'

At the end of the supper, Jesus took the cup of wine, blessed it and gave it to His disciples, saying, 'Take this, all of you, and drink; This is My Blood, shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.' "
You:
Close your eyes and receive spiritual communion from the Saviour at this sacred chapel.
Spend time in reflection, and hear His Word to you.
Be blessed; be sanctified; be comforted.

Final Blessing;
Priest;
"Almighty God,
Keep [here quietly place your name before God] safe, dear Lord.
Encourage [your name], strengthen [your name] with Your support.
May [your name] receive healing, be strengthened by Your grace, unburdened in Your love, guided by your Spirit evermore. Amen."

Final Hymn:
Still

Verse 1
Hide me now
Under Your Wings,
Cover me
Within Your Mighty Hands.
When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with You above the storm
Father, You are King over the flood
I will be still and know You are God.

Verse 2
Find rest, my soul
In Christ alone.
Know His Power
In quietness and trust.
When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father, You are King over the flood
I will be still and know You are God.

loved and admired in all the tabernacles
until the end of time. Amen.
Saint Jude pray for us and hear our prayers and
grant our requests. Amen.
Blessed be the Sacred Heart of Jesus;
Blessed be the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Blessed be Saint Jude in all the world
and in all eternity. Amen.

Our Father Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil,
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee,
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus;
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

CORONAVIRUS ANOINTING OF THE SICK SERVICE IF YOU ARE ILL OR CARING FOR THE SERIOUSLY ILL

IF YOU ARE ILL, HERE IS THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK SERVICE.  In this time of illness, we have the comfort that we can turn to Jesus Christ. The Saviour was moved by our suffering on earth. Now at this time of Coronavirus, many are called to share in Christ's ministry of compassion and healing. The risen Lord has left us the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick to comfort us in illness, and at times, give us healing. St James recommended that if any among us is sick, to call for the elders of the church and let them pray over us.

The reality is that the Coronavirus has resulted in the lockdown of many churches; priests are unable to go out and minister. Too, due to the danger of passing on the virus, the anointing of the sick with oil is difficult.

So, if you are ill or caring for those who are ill, and do not have the ability to call upon a priest during lockdown, here is a sacrament of anointing of the sick prayer you may use:

If you are ill, pray the following:
"Heavenly Father, giver of life and salvation,
sanctify my life and grant healing to your sick.
Grant that I may receive this sacrament of the sick in faith and repentance
and may be made whole, by the power of the Holy Spirit,
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen."

Make your confession silently to God.
Pray the act of contrition:
"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You,
and I detest my sins most of all because they offend You, my God, Who are all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your Grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin."
You may visit the Chapel of Repentance:

If you wish to give your life to Jesus Christ, visit the Chapel at the following link:

If you wish to be baptised, and are unable to receive baptism due to current lockdown restrictions, you may undergo the baptism of desire. Pray the following prayer:
"Our Lord Jesus Christ has told us
that to enter the kingdom of heaven,
we must be born again of water and the Spirit;
and has given us baptism as the sign and seal of this new birth.
Here let me be washed by the Holy Spirit and made clean:
Here let me be clothed with Christ,
dying to sin that I may live His risen life;
As child of God, I have a new dignity
and God calls me to fullness of life.
Dear God, I pray for the baptism of desire,
I pray You grant this baptism to me. Amen."

If you are administering spiritual comfort of the sick in this time of illness in the absence of a priest, pray the following over the ill person;
"Heavenly Father, giver of life and salvation,
sanctify (here put in the person or persons name or names) life (or lives).
Grant that those who in faith and repentance
receive this ministry
may, by the power of the Holy Spirit, be made whole;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen."

Then pray:
"May our heavenly Father grant you
the inward anointing of the Holy Spirit;
of His great mercy release you from suffering,
and restore you to wholeness and strength.
May He deliver you from all evil,
preserve you in all goodness,
and keep you to eternal life:
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

If you feel you are soon to go to God, pray the act of contrition to prepare your soul for heaven:
"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You,
and I detest my sins most of all because they offend You, my God, Who are all-good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Your Grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin."

If you see that someone for whom you are caring has gone to God, pray the following:
"Eternal rest grant unto him (or her), O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him (or her);
May he (or she) rest in peace,
Amen."

Prayer for a group of people who have gone to the Lord:
"Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace,
Amen."

The mercies of the Lord
I shall sing forever.
By the mercy of the Lord
all things were made.
With the mercy of the Lord
the earth is filled.
For from the mercy of the Lord
we have not been cut off.

For the Lord is pleasant,
and mild, and patient,
and greatly merciful,
and many are the mercies
to all who call on him.
O how good is the Lord!
O how sweet!
O how pleasant is the Lord
to humankind,
and his compassion
is upon all his works.

Have mercy upon us, O Lord.
Let your mercy, O Lord,
be upon us,
just as we have hoped.
In you, O Lord, have I hoped:
I shall never be confounded.
Amen.

IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF SPECIAL HELP FROM JESUS CHRIST

Adam and Eve listened to the voice of the devil instead of the Voice of God. Thus the relationship between God and our ancestors was broken - and God was heartbroken.
Our Saviour came to redeem us at terrible personal cost.
Let us always steadfastly refuse to listen to the promptings of the evil one.

Jesus appeared to St Margaret Mary Alacoque. He entrusted her with knowledge of how great the love of the Heart of God is for humanity. Jesus made 12 promises which His Sacred Heart will honour if we honour Him in our homes.

A wonderful devotion is to place a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in a central place in our homes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsyHW9zvqiY

The Great Promises of
the Sacred Heart of Jesus

JESUS MADE THE FOLLOWING PROMISES
FOR THOSE WHO HONOUR HIM

1. I will give them all the graces that are necessary for their state in life
2. I will help all families that are in difficulty and I will bring peace to families that are divided
3. I will console them in their afflictions
4. I will be their safe refuge in life and especially at the hour of their death
5. I will shower their work with abundant blessings
6. Sinners will find a source and an ocean of Mercy in My Heart
7. I will bring religious communities and individual faithful people back to their initial fervour
8. Fervent souls will reach great perfection in a short time
9. I will bless the places where the image of My Sacred Heart is exposed and honoured
10. To all of those who work for the salvation of souls I will give the gift of moving even the most hardened hearts
11. The name of those who propagate devotion to My Sacred Heart will be written in My Heart and it will never be cancelled out [Jesus' great Love for us is often depicted as the Saviour with a heart with flames (on fire with love for us) - and is known as the "Sacred Heart of Jesus].

Lastly, the Great Promise:
"I promise you, in the excess of Mercy of My Heart, that My Omnipotent Love will give all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Friday of the Month for nine consecutive months, the grace of final repentance.
They will not die in a state of disgrace, or without receiving the Sacraments, and My Heart will be their safe refuge during that last hour."

How to do the Nine First Fridays;
1. Make confession to God of your sins, and repent them
2. Attend the Holy Eucharist and receive Communion on the First Friday of each month. Do this for nine months.

What does Confession require?
First, when we confess to God, we need to reflect. What have we done that is sinful, that requires change?
We then turn to God and confess where we have gone wrong.
We need to realize that we must change our way of life.
We make a firm decision to change our life with God's help.

Now choose to do only that which is right.
If it is in any way possible, let us resolve to make amends in the situation we caused.
Sometimes, unfortunately, this is not possible.
In that case, let us put the situation into the gentle Hands of Jesus and ask Him to intercede in whatever way possible. Then be at peace.

We are all on a journey; we are all prone to sinfulness.
We all make mistakes on our way.
Yet, let us do everything we can to live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
This means following the Commandments, and following the precepts of life Jesus Christ taught in the Gospels.

Why pray the Nine First Fridays devotion?
There is good sense behind the practice. A regular and devoted prayer life stands us in good stead, and strengthens our morality, sense of values and character.
This helps ut to be strong when faced with situations that may tempt us to do wrong, instead of that which is right.

CHAPEL OF REPENTANCE
If you are unable to visit a good and reputable priest for confession, make your peace with God at the chapel of repentance.
