BREAKING NEWS; GROUP COMPELLED MINNESOTA TOWN TO PULL NATIVITY SCENE; HUNDREDS OF NATIVITY SCENES HAVE SINCE SPRUNG UP, ALLEGED NEWS

WADENA, MINNESOTA; WADENA OFFICIALS WERE COMPELLED TO TAKE DOWN A CHRISTMAS DISPLAY BY THE FREEDOM FROM RELIGION FOUNDATION [FFRF], WHICH THREATENED TO SUE THE CITY; ALLEGED NEWS.
After forty years of displaying the Nativity scene, Wadena officials sold the figures to the Wadena Ministerial Association for $25, who displayed it on private property; Alleged News.

Catholic League's Bill Donahue reportedly commented; "It is entirely legal to put a manger scene on public property, as long as it is privately paid for and it is a public forum, i.e, an area that is open to art displays, concerts, rallies, and the like."

Local bandstand
The local bandstand has been rented out, initially to Brady Folkestad, Alleged News.
According to local bandstand usage policy, the bandstand can be used by day, with nothing left overnight.
Folkestad displayed Christmas decorations and a Nativity scene for his family gathering.
Different members of the community have followed suit and are allegedly putting up their Nativity scene during their rented day in the grandstand.
According to the city's bandstand usage policy, they then take it down when evening comes; Alleged News.
The bandstand is now booked throughout the holidays.

Other members of the community began to buy and put up Nativity scenes in their yards and in their shop windows. 
Nativity scenes have now sprung up in their hundreds; with four sets in one craft store, three at a local café, and two at the local bookstore; Alleged News.
Some stores reportedly painted the Nativity scene on their windows.

Mayor George Deiss
Mayor George Deiss himself has at least eight Nativity scenes on display outside his home, and he estimates that Wadena residents have put up at least one thousand; Alleged News.
